CAFÉ: Redefining Cafés as Cultural Heritage

Cafés played a key role in shaping Enlightenment ideas that marked European thinking. Many "European values" have their roots in the heritage of cafés. Concepts such as equality and social inclusion arose from discussions that initially took place around café tables in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The CAFÉ project considers redefining cafés as a unique European cultural heritage based on their historical and cultural significance in the 21st century.

The CAFÉ project aims to revive this culture by involving local communities and artists who, as in the past, are the driving force of social change.
