Do you dare to look away from the screen and step among the people?

At a time when the crisis has stretched on indefinitely, dozens of people living in apartment buildings are hiding behind four walls. Their contact with the world is remote, through screens, so they no longer know what is happening outside or if society even still exists. Podjed’s dystopian novel Krizolacija, which intertwines with the scientific work of the same title, focuses on current issues that trouble many: How is it possible that we are extremely connected remotely, yet becoming increasingly lonely? And why, with all the global crises, does it seem that society is falling apart and the world is collapsing, while we look away – at our screens?

Anthropologist Dan Podjed and writer and publicist Vesna Milek will discuss crises, loneliness and solitude – as well as more cheerful topics – in the company of the audience. The discussion will take place live, without digital interfaces. Do you dare to come?
