A guided tour of the fresco by Slavko Pengov in the great hall of the present-day City Hall of Nova Gorica will be led by one of the co-authors of the book Občinska palača v Novi Gorici (City Hall of Nova Gorica) from the collection Pocket Artworks. The iconographically rich painting from 1952 is one of the few examples of large-scale historical painting in Slovenian art. It depicts the history of the Primorska Region, and through it also speaks of the time and circumstances in which it was created.
