Presentation of the book Slovenian Migration Under Socialism, which provides information on the number of refugees, migrants and emigrants in the period 1945–1991 and sheds light on the political and economic circumstances of the inter-state agreements that paved the way for expatriates or emigrants. The book also presents the life of emigrants and describes the ways emigrants socialized and obtained an education through the life stories of emigrant women and men.
The event will take place as part of the annual meeting of emigrants, Welcome Home, organised by the Government Office for Slovenians Abroad.
