You are invited to the international conference The Teutonic Order on the Borders (Der Deutsche Orden an den Grenzen), organized by the Milko Kos Historical Institute at ZRC SAZU and the International Historical Commission for Research into the Teutonic Order (IHKEDO).
The conference will bring together Slovenian and international experts from nine countries working in the fields of history, art history, architecture, ecclesiastical history, and cultural history. They will explore the role and significance of the Order—founded at the end of the 12th century and still active today—in the border regions of Slovenia; eastern German, Polish, and Baltic lands; Italy; and the medieval Kingdom of Jerusalem.
