Jaroš Krivec is researching cultural, economic and social history of 19 century, primarily focusing on Central Europe and the Balkans. He implements inter- and transdisciplinary approaches, combining present day theory, critical (socio-historical) source analysis and cultural-historical interpretation. Within the field of social history his main interests is, aside industrial culture, social history of medicine and the phenomenon of epidemies.
